It is compatible with EPDM, TPO, and PVC membranes, making it versatile for a variety of roofing materials.

The lap sealant adheres firmly to a range of surfaces including aluminum, mortar, wood, vinyl, galvanized metal, fiberglass, and concrete. This makes it suitable for aftermarket use and it is one of the highest volume products sold in RV stores today.

To use the EPDM Lap Sealant, start by cleaning the surface of any dirt, loose paint, rust, oil, or grease. Allow the surface to dry completely before applying the sealant. Standard caulking equipment can be used for application, and in cold weather, it is recommended to warm the container to room temperature before use.

The cure times for the lap sealant will vary depending on the weather conditions. For example, in 50-70 degree Fahrenheit weather, it will skin over in 5 minutes, be waterproof in 4 hours, reach 80% cure in 48 hours, and be fully cured in 30 days. The production date of the product can be found on the bottom of the tube, which is not an expiration date but rather the date of manufacture.

When stored in a dry location at temperatures between 55 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit, the lap sealant can last indefinitely. Its self-leveling properties make it easy to apply and ensure a secure, durable seal along various roofing surfaces. Available in a 10.3 ounce tube, the black color of the sealant blends seamlessly with most roofing materials for a professional finish.
